Inniskillin

Chopper Pictures
Produced by Chopper Pictures, Director Neil Craig. This shoot was a challenge since client was Inniskillin Ice Wine. We needed cold temperature and snow on the ground. It was pushed one year later for the right conditions. The best part of the shoot for me is the Ice Wine pouring shot. We shot it with a 35mm Photosonic camera that ran at 350fps. To backlight it, I used a 10K that was only 5ft away from the bottle. T Stop was set to 2.8. The shot looks great and married well with the rest of the project. It was shot with the Sony F900. The outside shots were done at night and on one night, it was –30 C.

Mind Over Migraine 2
Chopper Pictures
This Corporate was a fun shoot. To make it fit into three side by side 4 by 3 NTSC monitors, we had to frame the shot 3 by 1. I did the math and adjusted the frame lines in my cameras viewfinder. I then marked off the monitor for the Director. We shot with HD F900 with a wide angle lens and transferred over to NTSC for the 4 by 3 monitors. It worked great. Produced by Chopper Pictures director Neil Craig.

This was a treat to shoot. We used my Triangle Jib with a 360º Dutch head mounted to a camera car. We are flying the camera about 6 inches beside the car at 50kmh. To keep the camera from getting smashed by the car, we used a good stunt driver. We used a porta jib for inside shots of the car and a fish eye lens for outside shots. This allowed us some different looks in the video. James Stewart was the Producer, Director. James did a great job in the editing. I love the fast pace.

Café Express

EK3 Productions
Café Express is a restaurant in the US that wanted to display different food plating on a monitor. It was modelled after Tim Horton’s. Just like Tim’s, the lighting is the best part. I used hand cut mirrors and cards to model the light. Its like putting a puzzle together every set up. Produced by EK3 Prod. And directed by Ken Stuart.

SAQ Quebec Liquor Board

Momentum Productions
This was the first project that Momentum had with the SAQ so they wanted to wow the client. We shot it with the F900 at 23.98fps and used a porta-Jib along with a Triangle Jib and a Doorway dolly. The director Paul Crepeau wanted to get as much movement in as possible along with a film look. The porta-jib was used in all the tight locations and the Triangle was in the store and the warehouse to give us shots that reached up to thirty feet. By the way Momentum ended getting a new client.

Toyota Canada

Tele-Productions Mobile Inc.
Over the last twelve years I have been shooting for Toyota. We shoot all their live show events on HD with my Sony HDW-F900 and they project it on a fifty-foot screen at16x9. It looks amazing. The great part about doing their work is that every video is a story on its own that last about three to four minutes. During the productions we get to play with Jibs, Camera cars, Helicopters and more. It’s a great gig.

Rogers AT&T Wireless

Chopper Pictures Inc.
The whole purpose behind this shoot was to make it look like the middle of a movie. So we ended up pulling an all-nighter. We shot hand held to make it move and used my HDW-F900 at 24p to give it a film look. The idea was to have two Swat guys track down the mysterious green ooze that ends up being this new phone that they were launching. It was projected for the Rogers sales force.
